Focus On the Sky

I made this to contrast my other clip of a burning lava world. The changed in the animation are synced to 120 BPM, like all my other videos with synced changes. Of course, you can match this video's movement to any song and BPM by speeding up or slowing down the footage, using either Resolume Arena (paid), or even the free version of Davinci Resolve.



- In Resolve, simply add your audio track with music, then move it along the timeline so that the downbeat happens on the frames where the changes are, after panning left or right (while the frame is static). Next, right click on this clip and select 'Retime Curve'. This will open a curve you can move up or down to speed up or slow down the clip. Just drag up or down, until the video matches the audio in length, then in the 'Inspector' panel on the right, look for 'Retime and Scaling', then for retime process, select Frame Blend, or Optical Flow'. For Motion Estimation, go with 'Enhanced Better' (if you're using Optical Flow) and the other settings should be fine. Make sure you play it back to be sure you matched it up correctly.



-In Resolume Arena, you just need to drag the the clip into a slot and set the clip to 'BPM Sync' and it will do the rest. I love Arena! <3
